What are the benefits of a Sports Massage?

Sports massage is a targeted therapy aimed at enhancing athletic performance, preventing injury, and aiding recovery.

A skilled sports injury massage therapist uses techniques like deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to address muscle imbalances, reduce tension, and promote healing for athletes.

What therapies will I get for my sports injury?

The therapies we provide for a sports injury differ from person to person. We take into consideration your unique condition and personal preferences before we decide on what therapy you will receive.

Some of the therapies you can choose from include stretching, dry needling, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and mobilisation.

Why Remedial Massage?

It may be tempting to try self-treatment for your injury. Sometimes, you may not even seek treatment at all hoping it will pass.

This is not the best approach. Self-treatment may work sometimes but not always. Even if the pain goes away, your body may unknowingly form unhealthy functional patterns to adapt to the injury.

It is important to remember that most sports injuries are degenerative. This means that when left untreated, they worsen with the continued use of the injured muscle/joint.

You may need more complex treatments like surgery if degenerative conditions are not dealt with in time. Do not wait for it to get this far.

Come in for a consultation and let’s work with you to get you back to your best shape.
